Natural Disasters
As part of our W.I.T. Studies some of us have been learning about how to stay safe in natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. Kevin Archer from the Taranaki Regional Council came and talked how what these are, how to prepare and how to stay safe. I learnt that there is a 83% chance of Mt Taranaki erupting in the next 50 years. There is a 3% chance of erupting in the next year. Many of us put our note taking skills to use by making notes as he spoke.
